From January 1, 2022, both parents and all children under 18 from large families can use the right to free travel in Moscow city transport.
Earlier, the Moscow City Duma adopted a law “On Amendments to Article 29 of the Law of the City of Moscow dated November 23, 2005 No. 60“ On Social Support for Families with Children in the City of Moscow ”.
It is noted that before that, only one of the parents could use this right, and the benefit for children for free travel was valid until the age of 16, after which it could be used only on condition of education in educational institutions.
The newly introduced support measure gives equal rights to parents and more than 3 thousand minor children.
Earlier, on December 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the program of allocating land plots for large families. The head of state noted that the 500 billion rubles allocated for the development of infrastructure should be directed so that they solve the complex problems of large families.
On July 16, it was reported that Putin instructed to ensure the introduction of amendments to the legislation providing for the exemption of families with two or more children from paying personal income tax when selling housing that has been owned for less than five years.
