More than 900 firefighters, rescuers and volunteers provide fire safety in Moscow on New Year’s Eve. This was reported on Friday, December 31, by the capital’s Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies.
“Ensuring fire safety of Muscovites and guests of the capital during the New Year holidays is one of the primary tasks of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Moscow,” the department noted.
Metropolitan firefighters are on duty in an enhanced mode. They will also be on fireworks launch sites.
On December 28, the head of the department of trade and services of the capital, Aleksey Nemeryuk, announced that it would be possible to launch salutes and fireworks on New Year’s Eve in Moscow from 62 specially equipped sites. He recalled that you should buy pyrotechnics in specialized stores and always pay attention to the expiration date, product certificate and the availability of instructions in Russian.
