A tree of 3 thousand logs was built by the workers of the Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill (PPM) in Karelia as part of the company’s competition for the most unusual New Year’s tree, which became known on Friday, December 31st.
In the creation of the Christmas tree, logs stored at the exchange were used. In total, the weight of the work was 100 tons. The wood was painted with red, blue and yellow flowers like Christmas balls, a scarlet star was installed on the top of the work, and garlands were hung along the edge, reports the TV channel “Russia 1”.
Nevertheless, the construction of the exchange employees did not fit one of the competitive criteria – the height of the tree should not exceed 3 m, and the spruce of the pulp and paper mill employees rose by about 10 m.However, the jury took into account the efforts of the participants and awarded them a victory in the out-of-competition nomination.
Earlier, on December 27, the head of the Moscow department of trade and services, Aleksey Nemeryuk, spoke about his intention to present to Moscow orphanages New Year trees decorated by famous Russian designers. In addition, the holiday trees were decorated thematically: each of them was dedicated to different cities of the world.
