On New Year’s Eve, an unknown person blew up an ATM in one of the shopping centers in Moscow. On January 1, a source told Izvestia about this.
So, a man with a large bag went to the room where the device was located, went inside, and after about a couple of minutes he went out and sat down nearby.
The explosion thundered at midnight, after which the attacker took the bag from the room and left. Whether he managed to collect the money is unknown.
When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene of the emergency, there was a red cylinder and a hose with a wire near the ATM. Cynologists with a service dog did not manage to find the trail of the offender, an investigation is underway.
In August, at a branch of a credit institution in Podolsk, a taxi driver detonated an explosive device, damaging seven ATMs. The attacker hoped that the explosion would allow him to get the money, but his plan did not work.
The man was detained, he confessed.
