Firefighters are pouring structures after extinguishing a fire in a residential building in Syktyvkar, from where 15 people were evacuated on January 1, Izvestia was told in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Komi Republic.

“At the time of the arrival of the first fire brigades, the apartments in the third entrance and part of the roof were covered by fire. At the moment, open burning has been eliminated. Spilling and dismantling of structures is in progress. The causes of the fire are being established. No information has been received about the dead, ”the ministry said.

The fire occurred on the evening of January 1 in a two-story apartment building at 3, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya lane.

In Sochi, in an abandoned building located on Pervomayskaya Street, on January 1, a fire occurred for the second time. The cause of the fire was not specified, but the flame, like the second time, spread over the roof of the house. Eyewitnesses of the incident suggested that the building was set on fire on purpose. For the first time a fire occurred in it on the eve of December 31. Then it became known that no one lived in the building.
