Political scientist Dmitry Abzalov called the statement of the Ukrainian publicist Sergei Grabovsky that the four regions of the Russian Federation are the territories of Ukraine, a provocation aimed at disrupting the upcoming Russian-American summit. “Among the faces of the summit, which will be held on the 10th, there is an attempt to disrupt it by means of certain provocations. The statement that part of Ukraine is the modern territory of the Russian Federation proves once again that it is necessary to ensure security, ”he said.
The expert also pointed out that if next time not a publicist but someone in a high-ranking position announces this, it will be extremely negatively perceived.
According to Abzalov, the only way to curb this type of action is to sign agreements “which will prevent experts of this type from gaining access to offensive weapons, and even more so to intermediate and shorter-range missiles.”
“Therefore, this proves once again that everything is being done correctly,” the political scientist concluded.
Earlier, the publicist Sergei Grabovsky in an article published on December 30 for the Kiev magazine “Day”, made a statement that the Kuban and parts of the Belgorod, Voronezh and Rostov regions are Ukrainian territories. Thus, he commented on the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin that historical Russian territories are part of modern Ukraine.
Earlier, on December 29, Ilya Kiva, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life, noted that Moscow has a “right to territory” which is currently Ukrainian, and both countries should be in a single Slavic union state.
