More than 10 Muscovites suffered from pyrotechnics on New Year’s Eve

Careless handling of pyrotechnics on New Year’s Eve led to injuries and hospitalization of at least 10 people in Moscow. This was reported on January 1 by a source of Interfax.

“Several Muscovites received injuries and burns due to careless handling of pyrotechnic items on New Year’s Eve. According to preliminary data, over 10 people were injured from firecrackers, fireworks and other pyrotechnics in different parts of the capital. Several people had to be hospitalized in city hospitals, ”the source said.

He specified that the condition of the victims is assessed as satisfactory or moderate.

On January 1, the press service of the Khimki city prosecutor’s office reported that a 15-year-old boy had exploded a firecracker in his hands. On the fact of the incident, a check was organized.

Before the New Year, the head of the department of trade and services of the capital, Aleksey Nemeryuk, reported that 62 points for launching salutes and fireworks were provided in the city. He also recommended buying fireworks from specialized stores. There are more than 100 outlets in the city. Instructions on how to choose pyrotechnics and a launch site are posted on the Moscow government website.
