In the Sverdlovsk region in the city of Sukhoi Log on Sunday, January 2, a fire broke out on the roof of a three-story apartment building. This was reported in the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies in Russia.
It is noted that the fire took place in a building on Militseyskaya Street.
According to the department, the area of fire is 500 square meters. m. The attic floor and four apartments are enveloped in fire.
Fighting fire is complicated by the design features of the house – wooden floors and voids between them.
In total, 40 people were evacuated from the burning building. The fire injured two people who were taken to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed them with symptoms of mild poisoning by combustion products.
A temporary accommodation center is open at a nearby school.
In extinguishing the fire, 27 people of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and nine units of special equipment are involved.
Earlier, on January 1, in Sochi, in an abandoned building located on Pervomayskaya Street, a fire occurred for the second time. The cause of the fire was not specified, but the flame, like the second time, spread over the roof of the house. Eyewitnesses of the incident suggested that the building was set on fire on purpose. For the first time a fire occurred in it on the eve of December 31. Then it became known that no one lived in the building.
