On New Year’s Eve, vacationers in Crimea decided to launch fireworks without leaving their homes. An attempt to send a rocket from the balcony turned into a pogrom in the house opposite. Video footage of the incident appeared on Sunday, January 2.
Despite repeated warnings by the Emergencies Ministry’s rescuers that any pyrotechnics should be used and launched only on the street, away from houses, wires and other potentially dangerous objects, those celebrating the New Year launched a rocket from the balcony of the house.
The pyrotechnics soared into the sky and, falling, landed on the balcony of the house opposite. Amid laughter and whispers of the celebrants, you can see a bright flash in the house opposite on the video. It was not reported whether there was a fire because of the rocket or it went out without causing harm.
Earlier, near Ryazan, a 37-year-old man, Pavel S., was mortally injured when a fireworks were launched. He turned out to be a police lieutenant colonel not on duty, who had arrived from Moscow to visit his friends to celebrate the New Year. The deceased has a nine-year-old son.
