Seize the opportunity
At the turn of the year, many people take stock. The logical consequence: you think about what you could do better. Seldom do you look so closely at what bothers you and what would be good for you. One shouldn’t let this chance slip by. Making resolutions doesn’t mean that you have to turn your whole life upside down on January 1st. Instead of forbidding yourself to do something, you can also allow yourself to do something – for example to learn to play the violin or to try a new sport. One should start promptly with what is possible for a lifetime: break through routines, try new things and thus bring more excitement, fun and health into life.

And every beginning has a magic inherent in it that protects us and helps us to live, wrote Hermann Hesse in his poem “Levels”. In his spirit, many people let themselves be enchanted again around the turn of the year – and fully motivated swear off their vices. From one second to the next, they want to live healthier, more consciously, more sustainably, more punctually and more sportily. As is well known, very few people manage to stick to the New Year’s resolutions for 365 days because everyday life is too stressful and the weaker self is stronger, according to the motto: Tried a thousand times, almost no change has happened a thousand times. Unfortunately!
