In Kuban, a traffic police inspector dies from hitting fireworks in the head

In the Kuban, a traffic police inspector died from fireworks that hit him in the head. This was announced on Tuesday, January 4, at the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnodar Territory.

“On January 3 at 14.20, while in a hospital, the traffic police officer died without regaining consciousness,” the message says.

Employees of the department are investigating all the circumstances of the death of the 35-year-old inspector.

Earlier, the department reported that the incident took place in the Kushchevsky district on January 1. The duty station received information that the traffic police inspector was injured from being hit by a pyrotechnic projectile.

According to preliminary data, a fireworks display in the head of the traffic police officer was launched by a Cossack vigilante.

A video appeared at the disposal of Izvestia showing how a man unsuccessfully launched a fireworks display. The footage shows how the policeman falls and loses consciousness, then people run to help him.

Earlier, on the night of January 1, a police lieutenant colonel was killed when fireworks were launched in the Ryazan region. According to Izvestia, 37-year-old Pavel S. celebrated the holiday in the company of friends. During the launch of the festive fireworks, one of the volleys hit the man’s head. He died on the spot from his injury.

Upon the death of the lieutenant colonel, a pre-investigation check is being carried out, a battery of fireworks was removed from the scene. The man has a nine-year-old son.
