On Tuesday, January 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the General Director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) Boris Obnosov. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
At the beginning of the talks, the Russian leader congratulated Obnosov on the corporation’s 20th anniversary. Anniversary “Tactical Missile Armament” will celebrate in January.
In turn, the head of the state corporation said that today the corporation unites 38 enterprises and 55 thousand people. The enterprise managed to solve a number of problems, including social ones.
“The corporation managed, in my opinion, to pull out a lot of weak enterprises. Today the average salary for the corporation as a whole is 65 thousand. Of course, it is not uniform depending on the region, because some enterprises entered later, some earlier. But nevertheless 65 thousand. This allows us to solve social problems quite well, “- said Obnosov.
The head of the state corporation also noted that housing is being built for employees within walking distance of the place of work, so that they can effectively fulfill their tasks and be with their family.
Obnosov added that in the last decade, very serious attention has been paid to the issue of personnel training, starting not only from students, but also from school.
“Every enterprise in our city is sponsoring a number of schools and gymnasiums. We have a very powerful department at the Moscow Aviation Institute, where we prepare students for our profile. We have a whole faculty in Reutov from MSTU and the department of MSTU. Each final enterprise, be it Perm, be it Omsk, be it Orenburg, maintains its departments in those universities or institutes located in a particular region, “he said.
In addition, more than 20 different types of weapons have been created, passed state tests and adopted for the country’s defense, the head of the corporation added.
On December 24, Putin said that in the morning of the same day, a successful salvo launch of the Zircon hypersonic missile, created by KTRV, took place. According to him, the tests were flawless. The head of state emphasized that this is a major event in the life of the country and a significant step in increasing Russia’s security and in increasing its defense capability.
On December 16, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the frigate “Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov” performed a test firing of a Zircon hypersonic missile at a coastal target. It was noted that the flight was in accordance with the specified parameters. The shooting was considered successful, the target was hit.
On November 3, Putin announced that Zircon hypersonic missiles would begin arriving at the Navy next year.
The Zircon is the world’s first hypersonic cruise missile capable of long-term aerodynamic flight with maneuvering in dense layers of the atmosphere using its own engine thrust throughout the route.
On December 20, Putin conferred the title of Hero of Russia on Boris Obnosov for “a significant contribution to strengthening the country’s defense capability and high professionalism shown in solving problems of particular national importance.”
