In the Kostroma region, investigators opened a criminal case into the murder of a five-year-old girl. This was announced on Wednesday, January 5, by the press service of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
The case is being investigated under Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”).
According to the investigation, on January 4, the girl went for a walk on Severnaya Pravda Street, from where she was taken by two men and disappeared with the child in an unknown direction.
“In the course of a complex of investigative actions and operational search measures, the investigators detained two suspects who confessed to the murder of the child, the body of the victim was found in a room of one of the hostels in the city of Kostroma,” the department said.
The investigation intends to petition for the selection of a preventive measure in the form of detention, the department noted.
Earlier, in October, two girls were killed in Tuva. Law enforcers have detained the suspect. It turned out to be a 23-year-old previously convicted local resident.
