The centralization and specialization of certain key processes in global companies is a widespread practice that finds in Argentina a fertile territory for the sustained development of the so-called Global Service Centers either Global Business Center (GBC).
GBCs are a methodology for exporting services of growing demand in the world, which constitutes an exportable resource that Argentina can enhance by creating a virtuous circle of education, a greater number of high-value jobs, and an increase in exports that lead to a higher net income of foreign currency to the country.
What was once the result of a natural consequence of cost accessibility and time zone, has been consolidated to this day as a strategic value, based on the quality of human capital, the training and education provided by the universities of our country and the healthy public-private partnership with rational public policies. All this, despite all the challenges that usually mark the ups and downs of changing local circumstances and shifts in global trends.
To give a key magnitude, these activities that are included in the knowledge economy reached historic records in participation within the national economy: 9.7% of total exports and 7.3% of registered private employment.
Specifically, the performance of the knowledge economy showed positive results in the last year, with an annual growth of exports of 2.9%, totaling nothing less than a contribution of value for US$8.104 million.
Beyond the eloquent figures, it is important to put a face to talent due to the multiplicity of professional disciplines that are opening up as job opportunities, with quality and remuneration that are highly competitive compared to options abroad, making GBCs an attractive option for those who wish to develop their professional careers.
