The Ministry of Internal Affairs published a video of the interrogation of suspects in the murder of a girl in Kostroma

A video of the interrogation of two detained pedophiles arrested for the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma was published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Wednesday, January 5.

On the footage, the detainees name their personal data, place of birth. Both cite the murder of a minor as the reason for the detention.

“Detained for the murder of a five-year-old girl,” says one of them.

The Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kostroma Region opened a criminal case into the murder of a girl on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder of a minor”). The head of the RF IC, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded an operational report on the progress of the investigation.

On January 4, the child went out for a walk on the street of Severnaya Pravda in the city of Kostroma. Two men took her from there and fled. Investigators and criminologists of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Kostroma region, police officers, volunteers of the Liza Alert detachment took part in the search for the child. The suspects and the child’s body were found in one of the city dormitories.

As Izvestia found out, 44-year-old Denis G. and 24-year-old Vadim B. abused the child before the murder, after which they hid the child’s body in a gym bag to get rid of it later, but were detained by the police.

The Investigative Committee has published a video of the murder scene. The prosecutor’s office of the Kostroma region also said that the men who confessed to the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma had previously been convicted.
