A gas explosion occurred in a five-story residential building in Penza on the night of Friday, January 7, two people were killed. This was announced by the governor of the region Oleg Melnichenko.
“On Mira Street in Penza, there was a pop of gas in an apartment building. Unfortunately, two people died, ”he wrote on his Instagram.
The head of the region said that he had arrived at the scene to coordinate the work of the operational headquarters.
According to preliminary information, there was no structural damage to the building as a result of the explosion. The city administration prepared an evacuation point on the basis of the school for residents of the entrance where the fire occurred.
As the governor specified, on the morning of January 7, the house will be inspected by employees of the State Housing Inspectorate (GZI), together with the administration and the management company.
On December 30, a gas explosion occurred in a high-rise building in Tuapse. According to Izvestia’s source, one person was injured as a result of the incident. The man was hospitalized with burns in a state of shock. 24 people were evacuated from the house, specified in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies.
