The fire in the boarding house “Golden Age” in the Kemerovo region occurred due to a fire in the boiler room. This was reported on Saturday, January 8, by a Izvestia source.
It is noted that four people died. In total, there were 48 people in the boarding house, of which 46 were guests and two nurses. All the victims were lying, the employees of the institution could not get them out, as a result, they died from poisoning with combustion products.
According to a TASS source, the boiler room is located opposite the rooms where the elderly were accommodated. As a result of the emergency mode of the electrical equipment, a fire occurred there.
It is specified that the fire alarm has worked properly. The fire has been extinguished at the moment, all evacuees, after airing the premises, returned to the building of the boarding house.
Earlier on Saturday, it became known that a fire broke out in the Golden Age boarding house for the elderly in the Kemerovo region. The information message was received by the rescue services the day before at 23:02 Moscow time.
The first fire and rescue unit, upon arrival, found that personal belongings were on fire in an area of 10 sq. The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that 48 people and 14 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
According to data from open sources, the boarding house is commercial and is intended for round-the-clock stay of the elderly.
