At the Chinese airport in Hangzhou, the plane of the Russian airline Aviastar-Tu caught fire. This was reported on January 8 on the Aviaincident Telegram page.

It is specified that at the time of the incident the Tu-204 was on the ground. A fire broke out in the cargo hold.

More detailed information about the incident has not yet been provided.

On January 3, it was reported that the Boeing 737-8AS of Ryanair, flying from the English city of Manchester to the Portuguese Faro, made an emergency landing in the French city of Brest after reports of a possible fire on board.

On the same day, the plane of the Rossiya airline, heading from Moscow to Khabarovsk, returned to Sheremetyevo airport due to technical problems. According to Izvestia, during the flight, the Boeing-777 experienced unstable operation of both engines. The plane turned around near the city of Kirov and returned to the airport of departure, no one was injured.
