Train knocked down a man to death in Sochi

In the Lazarevsky district of Sochi, a train knocked down a man to death. This was reported on January 8 by the press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Southern Federal District.

It is noted that the driver of the Imeretinsky Kurort – Moscow train applied emergency braking, but still could not avoid hitting a person.

“Yesterday (January 7 – Ed.) At 22:40 there was a message from the duty officer at the Tuapse station that on the Lazarevskoye-Vodopadny section, the driver of the Imeretinsky Kurort-Moscow passenger train applied emergency braking to avoid hitting a person. A collision could not be avoided, a man born in 1980, a resident of the Chelyabinsk region, was mortally injured, ”the message says.

The investigative-operational group made a visit to the site for the purpose of examination. According to the driver, the deceased was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

On December 30, it was reported that in the Moscow region, two people fell under the wheels of a train and died. The tragedy happened at the Tarasovskaya station of the Yaroslavl direction.
