“Every year, during routine maintenance in the Ice Cave, ice is melted with heat guns, the system of metal pipes is washed and blown out, and technological work is carried out in the refrigeration unit. Closer to spring, it will be possible to start building up new sparkling ice, ”the message says.
The press service of the park clarified that in order to obtain an ice relief with an area of 750 sq. m freezes about 70 tons of water on 14 km of bent metal pipes, reports the city news agency “Moscow”.
Capital Park Zaryadye opened on City Day on September 9, 2017 and became the first largest park in Moscow built in the historical center of the city over the past 70 years. The total area of the park is 10.2 hectares.
