In 2022, 82% of Russians plan to travel. Among the countries that tourists are going to visit are Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Greece and Spain. At the same time, 73% plan to travel within the country. Such data follow from the results of a study conducted by Ozon Travel, the results are available to Izvestia.
Most (88%) of those surveyed are going on vacation, 41% want to see friends and relatives, 14% are planning a trip to work and 4% are leaving for study. At the same time, women (39%) more often than men (23%) go to Turkey, while men more often choose the UAE (12%) and China (8%).
Travelers are ready to spend from 15 thousand to 40 thousand rubles on round-trip tickets within the country per person: the average amount among women is 25 thousand rubles, and among men – 40 thousand rubles. For tickets abroad, tourists are ready to spend an average of 55 thousand rubles per person.
If they didn’t have to pay for a ticket, most of the respondents would dream of going to Italy (6%), Turkey (5%) and the Maldives (5%). For a dream trip, residents of Moscow (21%) more often than residents of the regions (9%) choose Italy, while less likely to stay in Greece (3%). Muscovites would also prefer countries such as Australia (10%) and the United States (8%), while tourists from the regions vote for Egypt (4%), Germany (4%), UAE (4%), France (4%) , Argentina (2%) and Bulgaria (2%).
More than the rest of the United States, people aged 18-30 dream of visiting, and men (7%) express this desire more often than women (2%). Respondents over 40 are not interested in Asian countries at all. Tourists aged 41-50 preferred Italy (9%), Thailand (8%) and Spain (8%), and more often than others chose Turkey (9%) and Greece (6%), where you can combine beach and sightseeing holidays.
Premium travel attracts people over 50, among their favorite destinations are Mexico (4%), Seychelles (4%) and Switzerland (3%).
Most of the respondents would like to go on a dream trip in the summer – 44%, and only 21% – in the spring, 14% – in the fall, 11% – in the winter. For 9%, the season doesn’t matter.
A significant part of the respondents (65%) would take a spouse or partner with them on a trip, 37% would go with children, 26% – with a company of friends or relatives, 8% would prefer to relax alone.
It turned out that many tourists (67%) dream of going to a place where they have not been before, 14% of respondents have visited their chosen place once, 10% have been there twice, and 9% want to return to a country where they have been more than three times.
Earlier, on November 24, the director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze said that the cost of tours abroad has increased by an average of 25% over the past two years. She stressed that a tour to the Dominican Republic will cost at least 100 thousand rubles.
In Russia, the leaders are the Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Karelia, Murmansk, Veliky Ustyug and Sheregesh.
