In the center of longevity and rehabilitation “Idyll”, where the actor Leonid Kuravlev was before hospitalization in Kommunarka, on January 11 they said that they immediately called the artist an ambulance, having discovered the slightest deviations in health.

As the director of the boarding house Yulia Klimova said, Kuravlev had a fever.

“Leonid Vyacheslavovich came to us in the summer. His family brought him to us. It became difficult for them to look after him, due to the fact that we all work. They needed help in caring for them. They looked after him well at home, but he needed a little more care, attention, medical supervision, ”said Klimova.

The staff of the center were aware that he was very upset about the death of his wife. At the same time, the artist’s relatives were ready to take him home at any time, but Kuravlev himself decided to stay in the center.

“We were worried if he would want to stay here. When he arrived he liked it here. Gradually he became more alive, he was engaged in physiotherapy exercises every day, attended animation programs, concerts. Then he began to eat in a restaurant with everyone, ”they added at the boarding house.

A day earlier it became known that the People’s Artist of the RSFSR Leonid Kuravlev was hospitalized from a boarding house on January 5 with suspected pneumonia. Now the artist is in the hospital in Kommunarka.

According to Izvestia, tests for coronavirus, which Kuravlev passed on January 6 and 9, showed a negative result. At the same time, the artist had an increased temperature, and the saturation was at the level of 89.6%.

The media published data that Kuravlev had breathing problems, and “lungs were affected.”

On October 8, 2021, Leonid Kuravlev turned 85 years old. The actor leads a reclusive lifestyle after the death of his wife Nina in 2012.
