Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia (UJR) Vladimir Soloviev on January 12 reacted to the news of the death of TV presenter Mikhail Zelensky.
In an interview with Izvestia, he called the incident a shock. According to Solovyov, Zelensky had many more plans.
“It’s just a shock for everyone. Our colleague, our comrade Mikhail Zelensky, died at the age of 47 He had many creative plans, he always smiled, he was an optimist in life, he was a very pleasant person to talk to, ”said the head of the UJR.
Soloviev noted that the consular department of the Russian Federation in the Dominican Republic is currently investigating the causes of death.
“As far as we know now, he was vacationing with his wife in the Dominican Republic and he felt bad. He was taken to a local hospital, but the doctors could not help him. According to preliminary data, this is a stroke. Now the consular office of Russia in the Dominican Republic is dealing with this situation, ”he said.
The date and place of the funeral is not yet known, added Soloviev.
According to preliminary information, Mikhail Zelensky died on Tuesday, January 11, from a stroke. On January 12, the Russian Embassy in Venezuela (concurrently in the Republic of Haiti and the Dominican Republic) confirmed the information about the death of the journalist.
