Russians were dissatisfied with the quality of service at domestic resorts

During the New Year holidays, Russians vacationing in the country most often complained about the low level of service and poor infrastructure, the Security 2.0 monitoring center of the Russian Peace Foundation (RPF) told Izvestia following the results of the hotline for the protection of tourists’ rights.

“More than 61% of complaints from Russian tourists on these holidays related to the low level of service and the quality of infrastructure at domestic resorts. In second place – about 19% – transport issues related to flight transfers and delays. On the third – 14% – complaints related to antikidny restrictions and non-observance of anti-epidemic safety measures by other vacationers: mask regime and social distance, ”said Elena Sutormina, head of the center, first vice president of RPF.

Among other problems, the Russians indicated inflated prices and difficulties with refunds for canceled tours.

In total, since the end of December, the center’s special hotline has received 27% more complaints than last winter.

“Most often, messages to the hotline came from the most popular winter ski resorts of Sochi and the Caucasus, the resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. The Moscow region and St. Petersburg follow in terms of the number of complaints received. Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod are in fourth and fifth places, respectively, ”Sutormina said.

Earlier, on January 12, Ozon Travel named the most desirable travel destinations for Russians in 2022. So, in the coming year 82% of the citizens of the Russian Federation are planning to make a trip. Among the countries that tourists are going to visit are Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Greece and Spain. At the same time, 73% plan to travel in Russia.
