The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) is responsible for paying the Progresar Scholarshipscarried out by the Ministry of Human Capital and the Secretariat of Education. Recently, registrations for the programs were opened and a significant increase in the 75% of its monthly value.
The Progresar Scholarships are an initiative to ensure that the youngest can finish their education primary, secondary, and if necessary, to accompany their higher education. The requirements to apply vary according to the type of benefit to which they apply, and the holders receive monthly payments.

Who can access the Progresar Scholarships
The Progresar Scholarships are aimed at young people between 16 and 24 years old, people with children under 18 years old in a single-parent home, up to 35 years old, and trans people, belonging to indigenous peoples, with disabilities, refugees, Afro-descendants or Afro-Argentines, without age limit. There are three types of programs with different purposes:
- Progress Mandatory: aimed at young people between 16 and 24 years old who are completing compulsory education.
- Progress Higher: available for students between 17 and 24 years old, with extension up to 30 years old for those who are advanced in their career, and without age limit for those studying Nursing.
- Progress Work: aimed at people between 18 and 24 years of age, with an extension up to 40 years of age for those without formal employment.
In order to be eligible, certain requirements must be met depending on the program to which you apply:
- Be a native or naturalized Argentine or a foreigner with legal residence of 2 years in the country and have a national identity document (DNI).
- Be a regular student at an educational institution.
- Meet age requirements.
- That the sum of your family group’s income does not exceed 3 Minimum, Vital and Mobile Salaries (SMVM).
- In the case of Mandatory Progress, a vocational and work orientation course must be completed to receive full payment of the scholarship.
How to apply for Progresar Scholarships
To apply for the Progresar Scholarships for the first time, follow these steps:
- Go to the Progresar website and choose your scholarship line. If you have already registered in previous years, log in with your username or CUIL and your password. If not, you will have to create a new user.
- In Personal Data, fill in all the fields with your information and click Update data. If you are a disabled person or a refugee and you are over 24 years old, attach supporting documentation: CUD or official CONARE certificate.
- Then, under Survey, click the Survey button and fill out your information. The information you provide here is confidential and will not affect the award of the scholarship. When you have completed all the fields on the screen, click the Finish Survey button.
- Finally, in Academic Data, fill in all the fields with your academic information. Don’t forget to accept the terms and conditions. Then click on Finalize form.
- Download the registration receipt and save it.
Amount of Progresar Scholarships in September 2024
The three types of programs within the Progresar Scholarships pay a total of $35,000 monthly after the 75% increase.
