“We give a second life to household products that are no longer in use but in good condition. These items are construction materials, appliances, furniture, openings, etc., which we remove free of charge. In addition to donations from individuals, we also receive donations from companies that add to the list mentioned second-selection products, discontinued lines, surplus stock and materials that cannot be sold” explains Alejandro Besuschio, executive director of Vivienda Digna. Through the warehouses, tons of bulky, unused goods are transformed into the opportunity for more than 40,000 families to have the products they need. Families have access to these products at a social price and the money obtained is used to carry out social housing projects led by the Foundation. This program has been running for 20 years and currently has 4 locations.located in Boulogne, La Tablada, José C. Paz and Barracas. Families who are part of the Decent Housing Community have, free of charge, activities such as training in self-construction, social support and technical advice. It is important to note that in order to be part of the community, families must first go through an interview with the social team. The most important thing is that everything reaches those who need it most.

Currently, they are working with a technology company to understand how, through technology, they can continue to value the positive social and environmental impacts they are generating with the operation of the Corralones Sociales de Vivienda Digna.
