In Tatarstan, a criminal case was opened against a 38-year-old resident of the Aktynyshsky district under clause “d” part 2 of Art. 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, suspected of torturing a minor son. This was reported on January 13 at the press service of the Investigation Department of the RF IC for Tatarstan.

“According to the investigation, in 2021, the suspect systematically beat his son, born in 2009, for no reason. The unlawful actions were suppressed after the boy’s mother and grandfather filed a corresponding complaint with the law enforcement agencies. At the same time, the latter recorded on camera traces of beatings on the child’s body, ”the message says.

The child’s father partially admitted his guilt. Currently, the Investigative Committee is checking and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

“In addition, the issue of transferring to the investigation department of the criminal case, which was previously initiated by the internal affairs bodies on the fact of the torture of the boy’s mother by a man, is being resolved,” the department added.
