Repression of retirees in front of Congress: a left-wing deputy was injured

Federal police attacked pensioners’ organisations that were holding their usual Wednesday march. A left-wing MP was among at least ten people injured by beatings and tear gas.

A new one manifestation of retirements was repressed this Wednesday in front of the National Congress. They were demanding improvements in their salaries and protesting the barbecue at Quinta de Olivos held for the deputies who protected the veto of the pension reform. Other demonstrations in parallel

It was not the only demonstration there. Opposite, in the Plaza de los Dos Congresos, tire workers grouped in SUTNA were holding a rally demanding wages. Its general secretary, Alejandro Crespo, demanded “from the unions an active general strike and a plan of struggle.”

Workers from the public telecommunications company ARSAT also demonstrated, demanding a pay rise after 10 months of frozen salaries, they said.
