The Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States, the tycoon Donald Trumpsaid that if he loses the election on November 5, he will not run again in 2028, according to an interview broadcast this Sunday. “No, I don’t see myself (running again). Trump said, however, that he hopes to be “successful” at the polls on November 5. The Republican is neck and neck in the race against Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, including in key states where the election will likely be decided.
The Democratic Party saw its support surge after President Joe Biden, 81, withdrew from the race following a disastrous performance in a televised debate against Trump.
Trump lost to Biden in 2020, but refused to accept defeat and spread the idea that the election was “stolen” from him, as well as various conspiracy theories, among his supporters.

“The problem with having another debate is that it is simply too late, the election has already started,” the Republican candidate declared in an electoral speech in North Carolina, referring to the voting by mail that has already begun in some states of the country.
“Vice President Harris is ready for another opportunity to share the stage with Donald Trump,” campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “Trump should have no problem embracing this debate.”
Until now, the former Republican president has rejected the idea of facing his rival from the November 5 elections on TV again.
In the first debate, on ABC, Harris managed to score some victories on some sensitive issues: attendance at her rallies, her relationship with her former political allies and her international reputation, among others. This did not prevent Trump from claiming that he “won” the debate and attacking the impartiality of the two ABC journalists who moderated the meeting.
