On Tuesday, September 24, the Hugo Awards Civil Association held the awards ceremony for the 14th Edition of the Hugo Awards for Musical Theatrefrom the National Auditorium of the CCK and broadcast on Public TV.
The Awards are an initiative of Ricky Pashkus and Pablo Gorleroand were created to distinguish all the areas, categories and specializations of musical theater in our country. They have taken the name of Hugo Midón as a role model and a tribute to one of the most important masters of the genre.
The presentation of each category was carried out by artists such as: Lizy Tagliani, Julieta Poggio, Maria Rosa Fugazot, Anibal Pachano, Ana Sanz, Fabio Aste, Ines Estevez, Marisol Otero, David Masajnik, Paula Marull, Roberto Catarineu, Fran Andrade, Male Ratner, Juan Sorini, Coco Silly, Christian Sancho, Caro Kopelioff, Gerardo Chendo, Graciela Stefani, among many other figures and references of the genre.
This 14th edition of the Hugo Awards had the support of the Santander Argentina Foundation, reaffirming its commitment to the country’s culture, art and education through Cultural Patronage, the program of the Ministry of Culture of the City, which promotes artistic-cultural projects.
The entire ceremony was a true celebration of the genre, which grows season after season with a multitude of proposals, consolidating a captive audience and adding new fans. A climate of camaraderie and companionship was the heart of a day where talent was the main protagonist.
