In Samara, a drunk man stole a Lada car and on the night of Saturday, January 15, raced with the police through the streets of the city. The perpetrator has been arrested.
The footage obtained by Izvestia shows how the violator drives at high speed in the oncoming lane and almost crashes into another car.
“Today we had a raid to identify drunk drivers. We receive information from citizens and work it out. If it is confirmed, then we call the police. While patrolling the streets, we noticed a Lada driver who almost had an accident with our car. We passed this information on to the traffic police,” Vitaly Smardakov, president of the Samara regional public organization Night Patrol, told Izvestia.
The social activist noted that the police began to pursue the violator, but he did not think to stop. As a result, law enforcement officers managed to force the driver to stop.
Later it turned out that the car was stolen. The girl started the car to warm up and went to a cafe to pick up the child. Upon returning, Lada was not found on the spot.
“Left the car to warm up in the parking lot. She left and she wasn’t there. Then they looked at the cameras and saw how a man got into it and left. He was sitting in a cafe and celebrating a birthday with someone, ”shared the owner of the stolen car Alina.
As Smardakov stressed, the issue of initiating a criminal case against the violator is currently being decided.
December 9 in Moscow, a naked man beat a driver and tried to steal his car. It is specified that the incident occurred on Vozdvizhenka Street. The police arrived at the scene and arrested the perpetrator.
