According to a report carried out by the Secretariat of Criminal Policy and Human Rights, the province of Santa Fe recorded the lowest number of homicides in the last 10 years. The confrontation with drug trafficking gangs in Rosario – where the 76% of cases together with the capital – is one of the points that explain the statistic decrease.
According to the report, in the period from January 1 to September 25 there were a total of 132 intentional homicideswhich reflects a 43.7% decrease compared to the previous year. Along these lines, the government of Santa Fe compared the results with the cases registered in 2022 and 2023, where there were 308 and 302 murders respectively.
Santa Fe announced the best safety figures in the last decade
The report was carried out by the Secretariat of Criminal Policy and Human Rights in conjunction with the Information divisions of the 19 regional units of the Provincial Police. This result represents a decrease of 43.7% regarding the 2023 data.
