A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of an accident in the Tver region, in which the head of the traffic police department in the Bologovsky district, Dmitry Sharapov, and a local resident died. This was reported on January 15 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the region.
“A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road, resulting in the death of a person by negligence”),” the report says.
According to investigators, on the morning of January 14, on the 311th km of the M-10 Rossiya highway, a man, driving a Renault Logan, drove into the oncoming lane of the roadway, where he collided with a VAZ-2114 car driven by the head of the traffic police department of the Bologovsky district of the Tver region.
Currently, all the circumstances of the incident are being established.
Earlier on January 15, there was an accident involving a passenger bus and a taxi on Varshavskoye Highway in Moscow. According to the taxi driver, he skidded while ahead of the passenger bus and, having lost control, he collided with it. According to the traffic police, nine people were injured, including a baby. Seven people were hospitalized after the accident.
