A massive accident involving four cars occurred in the Ussuriysk urban district in the Primorsky Territory. This was announced on Monday, January 17, by the press service of the UGIBDD of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region.
It is noted that the accident occurred at the 663rd kilometer of the state highway “Khabarovsk-Vladivostok (Ussuriysk bypass)”. A 34-year-old driver of a Toyota Corolla violated the rules for positioning a car on the roadway and crashed into an MMC Delica car, and then into Honda HR-V and Scania PBX 400 cars moving in the opposite direction.
“As a result of the impact, two people were injured: a Toyota Corolla passenger, a 29-year-old woman, she required hospitalization, and a MMC Delica passenger, a 40-year-old man, was prescribed outpatient treatment,” the TASS press service said.
According to the State traffic inspectorate, the driving experience of the culprit of the accident is 14 years, in 2021 the man was brought to administrative responsibility under the article “Failure to provide priority in traffic to pedestrians”, the driver paid the fine.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
The day before in Moscow, two people were injured in a collision between a Daewoo car and an ambulance. The victims were the driver of the ambulance and the passenger in the car.
