The accident happened earlier that day at an unregulated pedestrian crossing on Universitetsky Prospekt. A Subaru driver hit a woman and her 11-year-old daughter, the 360 TV channel notes. Both victims were hospitalized. The woman has a suspicion of a fracture of the spine, writes RT. The child was diagnosed with multiple fractures and rupture of the extreme lobe of the liver.
The driver stated that he did not even know that there was a pedestrian crossing in that place, Pravda.Ru notes. They intend to test him for intoxication, writes RIAMO. According to the traffic police, he is responsible for 16 traffic violations for 2021, including three violations related to driving at a prohibitory traffic light, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
On the fact of the accident, the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office began an investigation. All the circumstances of the incident are established.
Earlier, on January 17, it became known that in the north-west of Moscow, an 11-year-old boy was knocked down by a collection vehicle. The victim was hospitalized in a medical facility. The boy was diagnosed with bruises and torn ankle ligaments.
