La Austral was positioned as the best Argentine university, according to a world ranking

Finding ourselves among the five best-positioned private management universities in LATAM is a very eloquent achievement.”

Furthermore, he pointed out that the biggest challenge is “achieve the balance between this search for excellence and other institutional objectives such as commitment to our particular environment and interdisciplinary research, among others.”

This was the 21st edition of the ranking, which on this occasion had 2,092 universities rankedcoming from 115 different countries. Ranked universities increased significantly, 9.7% this year, compared to 1,907 last year.

This was the first appearance of Universidad Austral in the annual rankingin which it was located in the 1,001-1,200 band. For its part, Argentine participation has doubled compared to 2024, with seven participants.

“In a challenging context for all Argentine universities, both public and private, it is encouraging to have achieved this positioning. We are interested in ensuring that the knowledge that arises from investment in research reaches the entire society effectively, particularly to the most vulnerable sectors,” concluded Rodriguez.

The World University Rankings provides The definitive list of the best universities in the world. It started with 200 universities and now registers more than 2,000, making it the university ranking more global and inclusive in the world.

It is the only comprehensive, rigorous and balanced global ranking that evaluates research-intensive universities across all of their core missions on 18 performance indicators that are divided into five pillars covering their core missions of teaching, research, transfer of knowledge and internationalization.
