In Krasnoyarsk, transport police saved from death and frostbite a 36-year-old man who fell asleep while intoxicated on the railway tracks at the Krol-Jetka station. This was reported on January 17 in the press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Siberian Federal District.

The sleeping man was noticed by the driver of the train moving directly at the person – he managed to apply emergency braking.

“The police and train crew found a sleeping man under the second car of the train. Due to severe alcohol intoxication, he could not move, talk on his own and did not perceive what was happening around, ”the message says.

The police found that shortly before the incident, the man was drinking alcohol with a friend, and then went to the railway station to meet a friend. The press service of the department noted that that night the air temperature in the region dropped to 18 degrees below zero.

The man was taken to the nearest station and transferred to the Kuraginskaya district hospital. Doctors diagnosed the rescued with various bruises. He is currently under medical supervision.

In November last year, in the Tomsk region, police rescued an injured man from the taiga. It was established that he went hunting and disappeared near the village of Bely Yar. He got lost and hid from the wind near a tree lying on the ground, warming himself by the fire. The hunter twisted his leg and could not get out of the forest on his own for five days.

In the same month, already in the Irkutsk region, the police rescued a man who fell through the ice on the Lena River. The victim was then taken to the hospital in critical condition.
