What Son Sung Blue is about
The synopsis of the film summarizes the story of two musicians down on their luck (Hudson and Jackman) who form a tribute band to Neil Diamond to follow your dreams and prove that it’s never too late to find love. The film is based on a true story from the 2008 documentary of the same name directed by Greg Kohs.
John Davis and John Fox are producing the film for Davis Entertainment along with Brewer, who wrote the film for Davis Entertainment. Erika Hampson and Kohs are executive producers.
Focus developed the project and owns worldwide rights to the film. Universal Pictures International will handle international distribution for the studio.
Jackman, who just turned 56, recently starred in Deadpool and Wolverine (2024) together with Ryan Reynolds. The actor will also perform a 12-concert series at Radio City Music Hall in 2025. Two other upcoming projects from the actor include Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie and The Death of Robin Hood.
We will soon see Hudson in Running Point of Mindy Kalinga comedy series about a basketball team, in which Hudson will play the president of a legendary basketball franchise. Also recently appeared in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) Ryan Johnson.
