“There was a presidential veto linked to the pension reform that implied an increase for retirees. We have to discuss all those issues that have ‘there is no money’ as a barrier. The economic matrix is one that is distributed based on interests and this Government has very different priorities. Politics is about where we place the axis in our society“, he stated Julio Zamora.

The mayor participated in the third day of the Future Cities series of talks organized by the Municipality of Tigre at the Tigre Art Museum (MAT). The problem of social exclusion and development
Education and the role of the national government hovered over the entire cycle. The former Minister of Economy, Martin Guzman stated that “there is no way to solve the problem of social exclusion and development if those who grow up in our country do not have the possibility of being educated.”
He then warned about some commonplaces of orthodox economists. “We cannot think of the economy and society separatelyWhen we think about economic development we refer to social and human development. In this meeting, we have the type of dialogue that Argentina needs. Current policies at the national level are increasing poverty,” he highlighted. Guzman.
For his part, the president of the Argentine Social Debt Observatory of the UCA, Agustín Salviawarned the limits of the current Government’s economic program. “Beyond the fact that the economy continues to improve and lower inflation, we are going to find a structural floor of 35% of more chronic poverty, there is no inclusion policy for the poorest segments. We need investment policy, scientific, technological and productive development. “Quite the opposite of what is being done now.”
