The Italian luxury brand Prada will be in charge of designing the space suits for the astronauts who will participate in the future NASA Artemis III lunar missionplanned for 2026. During the International Astronautical Congress, held in Milan, it was revealed that the suits seek to be more comfortable and aesthetically attractive.

The suits have been developed in conjunction with the company Axiom Spacewhich presented the first images at the scientific event. Thanks to Prada’s experience in high fashion design, advanced technologies and innovative construction techniques have been incorporated to combine a Superior technical functionality with a modern aesthetic lookas Axiom Space explained in a statement.


The director of Corporate Social Responsibility of the firm, Lorenzo Bertellihighlighted that this project has led Prada to “overcome your own limits”. The brand has contributed its knowledge of high-performance materials and specialized sewing techniquesachieving significant learning in the process.

The suits that will be used in the Artemis III mission, scheduled for September 2026, will be white with red detailscharacteristic color of the brand. They will be made with Innovative fabrics that will improve the flexibility, mobility and safety of astronauts. In addition, they will have personalized gloves and a helmet equipped with lights and a high-definition camera.
