Dune: The Prophecy is inspired by the novel “Sisterhood of Dune”, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
HBO presented the official trailer of the original drama series Dune: The Prophecy during the series’ panel at New York Comic Con, also revealing that the first episode will premiere on Sunday, November 17 at 10:00 p.m. on HBO and will be available on Max. Co-produced with Legendary Television, the season will consist of six episodes and a new episode will premiere every Sunday until the season is complete.

As part of the vast universe of Dunecreated by acclaimed author Frank Herbert and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: The Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humanity and establish the legendary sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Alison Schapker is the showrunner and executive producer. Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and is also an executive producer. Anna Foerster executive produced and directed several episodes, including the first. Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns and Jon Spaihts are executive producers alongside New York Times bestselling author Brian Herbert, as well as Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert executive producing on behalf of the estate of Frank Herbert. New York Times bestselling author Kevin J. Anderson is co-producer.
The series is co-produced by HBO and Legendary Television, with Legendary also producing the film franchise that has released two critically acclaimed installments, the first of which garnered six Academy Awards.
