Concern about retirements and assessment of public universities, the results of a new report on the Government of Javier Milei

The analysis included the participation of 2,300 people over 16 years of age, who reviewed libertarian management.

The consultant Zuban Córdoba published a national report corresponding to the month of September of this year, where they focused on different aspects of the country’s society and politics, making a special axis in the management of Javier Milei, as well as in public education.

Within the framework of the protests rejecting the definancing by the government of President Javier Milei, 92% of Argentines said they were proud of the public universityas they anticipated. Furthermore, those consulted determined that universities represent the greatest trust, with 71.5%. In addition, public health follows with 71% credibility and CONICET with 64.3%. Private universities appear further back.

Another important point of the study is based on the perception of the Government, where 57.3% disapprove of it compared to 42.3% approval of the libertarian management. The remaining 0.4% answered that they do not know. According to data from previous months, September was the highest month in terms of disapproval levels.

The attack on retirees

The people surveyed also responded to phrases recently said by the president, to which they had to respond if they seemed true or false. One of those that received the most rejection was around retirees: ”Pensions are up 5%, which means we beat inflation”is described. Faced with this statement, 71.7% responded that it is a lie.

Regarding taxes, the phrase ”Electricity, gas and water rates are given away” garnered the greatest amount of negativity, with 76.2%. In addition, Milei’s statement about ”the real chainsaw”, which was applied to ”politics, not people”, obtained similar results, to which 69.2% disagreed.

Finally, 43.3% responded that Javier Milei’s government has achieved nothing so far, although there was a small percentage of 18.2% who believe that its greatest achievement was lowering inflation.
