In Kamchatka, a juvenile girl was sentenced, who attacked her nine-year-old brother with a knife last spring because of his noisy behavior. This was announced on January 18 by the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the region on the official website.
The defendant was charged under paragraph.n. “b, h” part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm”). She fully admitted her guilt.
According to the investigation, in May 2021, a 16-year-old girl took a knife in the kitchen and stabbed the child nine times in the area of vital organs because the boy was noisy and did not respond to her remarks. After that, the schoolgirl called an ambulance, thanks to the timely arrival of which the boy was saved.
At that moment, the parents were not at home: the mother left with her third child for a competition in another region, and the father was at work.
During the investigation, the girl’s acquaintances and teachers were interrogated, six expert studies were conducted, including one outside the Kamchatka Territory. The girl was declared sane. At school, she had good academic performance, was socially active, and was characterized positively.
The court took into account that the schoolgirl herself called the doctors to her brother. As a result, the girl was sentenced to three years of probation.
Earlier, on January 2, in Gatchina, a 26-year-old girl stabbed her mother in the back during an argument. The injured 46-year-old woman was hospitalized with a stab wound to the posterior chest wall. She is in critical condition. According to preliminary information, the girl was in a state of drug intoxication. She is currently under arrest. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
