In recent weeks, the founder of the Civic Coalition (CC) expressed her desire to compete in the 2025 legislative elections. With that aim, The leader increased her public exposure and shared various analyzes about the situation and the direction of Argentina.
Harsh warning from Elisa Carrió to Javier Milei
It was in this context that Carrió warned of the risks of Milei’s strategy of polarizing with the former president. “I get the impression that this boy is playing with fire, because if Cristina wins the province of Buenos Aires, the Government will fall,” launched the architect of the CC in dialogue with Radio Con Vos.
Regarding this aspect, the former deputy considered that “it is not a good political strategy”: “By polarizing in this way, by choosing an enemy, what you are achieving is what Cristina did: ‘Build a party and win the elections.'”

“I think it is not a good political strategy, it could backfire,” Carrió told the President.
On the other hand, the Chaco woman considered that “We do not deserve such mediocrity” and assessed that “the only way out” that the country has is an “urgent educational innovation.”
In that sense, he recalled that the Civic Coalition “it is the only party that does not have conflicts”, although they “underestimate” them during electoral times.
“The Government has no street or empathy”
At the same time, he accused the national government of having “no street nor empathy.” “How are they going to destroy Garrahan, which is a social capital where, seen from the inside, it is the salvation of children? We already have the complaint and witnesses in process,” shot.
He also recalled that “only renowned specialists were asked to resign because they gave a bonus of $500,000 with their own funds, which came from social works.”
“Specialists who earn $2 million and who abroad could be earning $5 thousand. The nurses earn $700 thousand and are caring for small cancer patients in Garrahan. Does it seem to you that someone who is next to the pain, who is giving the medications, doesn’t he have the right to have a minimum income that at least helps him carry such a responsibility with professionalism?” complete.

Elisa Carrió once again criticized the Government for the Garrahan situation.
Underlying Carrió’s criticism of Milei’s polarization with Cristina is a shot at the elevation of his former political partner Mauricio Macri, who in 2019 used the same tactic to face the presidential elections. The result was not good for the head of the PRO: with Alberto Fernández at the helm, the now defunct Frente de Todos won the elections and prevented the president’s re-election.
Weeks ago, in a talk at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) organized by Fundar, Cáritas and Techo Argentina, Carrió had warned that “without the middle class there is no upward social mobility, there is only one country of rich or poor which is where they want to take us.”
