After the province of Missions formalize a tax for foreign visitors, which would be allocated to the tourist infrastructure itself, the Deliberative Council from the capital of Land of Fire debate the creation of Ushuaia Tourism Entity (Enutur).
The initiative is promoted by the local government and Enutur would be constituted as an organization decentralized to the municipal Executive that would absorb the Ministry of Tourism. In his argument, he states that he seeks to promote the sustainable tourism development.
The proposal seeks to establish a rate of “Urban use right“to all tourists, Argentine and foreign, over 12 years old. The value would be subject to the Fiscal Value Units (UVF)currently set at $1,127.76, but with a possible update in January 2025. In this sense, the project specifies that the rate for national visitors would be 5 UVF, while for the international would amount to 10 UVF.
