By clicking on the new musical note icon that appears on the status editing screen, you can then choose the artist, the song and the fragment you want to listen to.
This feature has been discovered in version 2.24.22.11 of WhatsApp beta for Androidand although it is not known when it will officially be released, it is expected to be in the coming weeks for all devices.
