However, he discovers that the city has been taken over by a vampire, which endangers the lives of all its inhabitants. With the help of some allies, Ben tries to combat this evil force. With “old school” horror elements, focused on scares and an intense atmosphere, the film is one of the new features that arrived on the platform this month.

The Horrors of Caddo Lake

The Horrors of Caddo Lake is a terrifying thriller starring Dylan O’Brien and Eliza Scanlen. Seeking shelter, Mina becomes trapped with three strangers, all watched and chased by mysterious entities during the night. They cannot be seen, but they see everything. Observed is produced by M. Night Shyamalan and directed and scripted by Ishana Night Shyamalan.

Another Stephen King adaptation worth mentioning in October is IT: That (2017), directed by Andy Muschietti. The story takes place in the quiet town of Derry, in the state of Maine, where children begin to mysteriously disappear. A group of young friends, calling themselves “The Losers Club,” come together to investigate the events and face their greatest fears when they discover that the person responsible for the disappearances is a terrifying supernatural entity. This creature, which takes the form of a malevolent clown named Pennywise (played by Bill Skarsgård), feeds on children’s fears, hunting them in 27-year cycles. The sequel to this thriller, IT: Chapter Two, is also available on the platform.

Beetlejuice

Hereditary is a psychological thriller that follows the Graham family after the death of their matriarch. As Annie (Toni Collette) and her children try to cope with the loss, disturbing secrets about their lineage begin to come to light and increasingly darker, supernatural events begin to stalk them. The film is directed by Ari Aster and starring Toni Collette, Alex Wolff, Milly Shapiro and Gabriel Byrne.
