The head of the Buenos Aires Government held a series of meetings and will participate in the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI).

Before his participation in the summit of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI)the head of the Porteño Government, Jorge Macrimet this Tuesday in Spain with the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez Almeida, and the president of the right-wing Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

“Inspired by programs such as ‘Madrid Protege’ and ‘Madrid Innovation Lab’, as well as the joint initiative ‘Buenos Aires-Madrid Connection‘, we work to improve the quality of life in the City and give more and more tools and opportunities to the neighbors,” said Jorge Macri.

The Head of Government will participate in the summit of the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI). This is an event where mayors and leaders of the most important Spanish-speaking cities meet who seek to promote cooperation and sustainable development.

Buenos Aires could be designated as the venue for the next edition, which will be held in 2025.

Meeting with the president of the Popular Party

During your stay in Spain, Jorge Macri met with Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the president of the Popular Party, the main right-wing political force in Spain and a historical ally of the PRO.

We have the responsibility to care for and strengthen that bond, from wherever we are. That is why I consider the decision of the Spanish Government to appoint a new ambassador to Argentina to be appropriate,” Macri considered in his X account.

Breakfast with businessmen

This Tuesday morning, Jorge Macri He shared a breakfast with Spanish businessmen. “With all of them we held very productive meetings where we put the private sector back at the center of the scene“, highlighted the head of the Buenos Aires Government. Later he met with Argentine businessmen.

Executives participated of the companies Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), of the Abertis corporation, an international operator in the management of highways, of the Santander and Bilbao Vizcaya banks, of the International University of La Rioja, of Iberia Líneas Aéreas and of Telefónica de España, among other firms.
