The series will consist of 12 postal characters. Eight stamps will feature some of the Rolling Stones’ legendary performances, and four postage miniatures, presented as a poster, feature two pictures of the band along with two vintage posters from the band’s world tours.
“The Rolling Stones, celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2022, are only the fourth band to be featured on a special stamp issue, following the Beatles in 2007, Pink Floyd in 2016 and Queen in 2020. The stamps will go on general sale from January 20.
Earlier, on January 11, it was reported that band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood themselves chose the designs for the stamps.
