Government grants more funds to ANSES and puts Army assets up for sale

The Government approved modifications to the Budget for the year 2024 to finance the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) and projects vsale of assets from the military area, as established in Administrative Decision 1015/2024, signed by the Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo.

The official decision incorporates an increase in resources for ANSES aimed at payment of extraordinary subsidies for retirees and pensioners and the credits of the National Disability Agency for beneficiaries of non-contributory pensions.

“That it is necessary to increase the ANSES budget in order to meet the Agency’s operating expenses and to pay the extraordinary subsidy of up to $70,000 for retirees and pensioners,” the resolution states.

Likewise, the Ministry of Defense will also experience budgetary extensions to finance the start of the 2024-2025 Antarctic Summer Campaign and the operation of military hospitals.

“It is proposed to incorporate greater resources from income from the sale of goods and services in the budget of the General Staff of the Army, a deconcentrated body operating within the Ministry of Defense, to finance operating expenses of the hospitals of said force” , indicates the administrative decision.

The modifications include a increase in the budget of the National Atomic Energy Commission to cover operating expenses, as well as an increase in the funds assigned to the National Parks Administration, intended to cover expenses in the Protected Natural Areas. Besides, The credits of the National Genetic Data Bank are reinforced for its operation and consumption.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives additional resources to attend personnel needs, while the Procurement of the National Treasurydependent on the Ministry of Justice, will have greater funds intended for the training of State lawyers. In the area of ​​security, the budget of the Ministry of Security and the Argentine Naval Prefecture will increase for the acquisition of equipment and police control tasks, particularly in fishing activity.
